Mr. Okeh is the founder and managing partner of the firm and has over eight years of experience serving clients in both the government sector and private industry, including several years with well known accounting firms of Urback & Werlin, Gardiner & kimay & Associates and Daniel Eke & Associates, PC. Mr. Okeh has served in a management capacity on a broad variety of engagements over the past five years. These engagements include contract and grant audits, federal, state and commercial levels, due diligence reviews, financial and compliance audit engagements and a broad variety of management consulting services.
Prior to devoting his efforts to the development of professional services in 1990, Mr. Okeh was employed as Audit Senior with the firm of Daniel Eke & Associates, PC, Certified Public Accountants & Management Consultants. In this capacity, he was responsible for Compiling, reviewing and auditing financial statements. He reviewed and analyzed cost price proposals. Performed due diligence analysis on HUD’s Section 201 housing projects. Performed A-133 and A-128 audits. Participated in the audit of Immigration and Naturalization financial statement.
He was also responsible for Accounts Receivable and performed analysis for allowance account to be written off, reviewed inter agency receivable and made recommendation on improvement of the system. Other duties included analyzing and implementing operating periodic variances and developing profitability improvement and tax planning strategies. Assisted with contractual financial reports to obtain litigation support data.
Prior to employment with UKW/Daniel Eke & Associates, Mr. Okeh was employed as Senior Accountant by Trans Atlantic Network, Inc. There he performed functions of maintaining accounting and financial records and produced monthly financial statements. Prepared short-term and long-term strategic plans, budgets and monitored performance against actual. He prepared and interpreted quarterly financial operating results. Developed policies and procedures for safeguarding assets. Performed ratio analysis of financial information and advised on tax issues. He ensured the reliability of general ledger, payroll accounts receivable for accuracy and supervision of ten accounting staff.
Prior to employment as an Accountant by Allied Accounting & Tax Services, Inc. Washington, DC, Mr. Okeh was responsible in the set up of various accounting systems for several clients, under the guidance and supervision of CPAs. He assisted in the preparation of financial statements. He Prepared payroll, quarterly and annual financial information returns of 940, 941, W-2 and 1099. He also prepared individual, corporate, partnership and not-for-profit tax returns.
As an Assistant Grant Coordinator with Government of the District of Columbia Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs, Washington, DC, his responsibilities include recording of grants received from federal governments for Blue Plain Wastewater Treatment operation and monitored the expenditures on the Blue Plains grant to ensure conformity with the grant requirements. He assisted in the review of labor cost and the preparation of annual budget.
Mr. Okeh holds CPA permits to practice in the District of Columbia and the State of Maryland, and is a member in good standing with American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Mr. Okeh has professional affiliations with American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Maryland Society of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) and DC Institute of Certified Public Accountants (DCICPA).
